APPLICATION
Entries can be submitted at the Auditions Venue.

A. Download application form online or pick up an application form from any Ecobank branch or any of our designated outlets nationwide. Pay application fee of 2,000.00 into The Entrepreneur Season 2 account at any Ecobank branch nationwide, fill and bring completed forms with bank Teller to the Audition Venue

B. Ensure you fill the Payment form before you leave the bank

C. Once application is submitted, a team of Auditions Judges will shortlist Candidates for audition and allocate their entry to one of the three following regions.
• Lagos
• Abuja
• Enugu

A. How to Enter
1 Completed application forms are to be submitted with the bank Teller to the Audition Venue. Applicant must make at least three (3) copies of the completed forms. Applicants without the Completed form with the bank Teller will not be auditioned.

2 All applicants must include all the information required by the instructions. Application must be received by the Producer on or before 23rd November, 2009 the closing date of registration for The Entrepreneur TV Series. The Producer reserves the right to extend the closing date. Any new closing date will be posted on the Website or otherwise notified in further publicity relating to The Entrepreneur TV Series. Application may not be modified or amended by applicants once received. Application that are lost, damaged or delayed, illegible or altered which are not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or the instructions (including applicants that are received after the closing date) will be disqualified.

3 Applicants should complete the entry form, providing as much information as necessary to enable the Producer to assess the applicant’s business and should include a brief company history, out line the market dynamics in which the business operates, provide a short introduction to its management team and an outline of its proposals which should contain information on why the applicant believes the business to be entrepreneurial and the amount of funding sought and how this would be used.

Applicants should include any noteworthy information supporting their application, including any information on any aspects of the applicant’s business that have an emphasis on social and environmental benefits.

4 As part of the assessment process, if selected, applicants will be required to provide projected profit and loss accounts in respect of the business.

B. ENTRY CRITERIA
1 The Producer reserves the right to exclude any application from The Entrepreneur TV Series at its sole discretion. The following businesses are not eligible for entry to The Entrepreneur TV Series.
A) Business which have venture capital investment provided by any business.
B) Any business which might be, or might result in the Producer being, in breach of any law, regulation undertaking, provision, voluntary code or practice, or policy which the Producer is obliged or accustomed to observe; and
C) Not for profit businesses including co-operative societies, mutual societies, provident associations, and member owned buying groups, companies limited by guarantee, Charities and any government body, agency or public authority or any business established by any of these bodies.

2 Applicants must be in respect of a business which:
A) Is a new idea, in a startup stage or an existing business?

3 All persons making an application must be aged 18years and above. In the case of Companies, applicants must be a director of the company and in the case of unincorporated businesses; applicants must be the sole owner of the business or have the consent of all of the owners of the business, evidence of which will be required by the Producer.

4 Only one application per business (including per group of related companies) will be considered. Applications should provide details of their principal place of business but the Region of audition will be allocated by the Producer at its discretion. In the event that more than one application is submitted in respect of any business, whether in respect of more than one Region or otherwise, only the first application will be considered.

5 Panel members and employees of the Producer, Sponsors, Partners, or any associated group companies of any of the foregoing or any other person associated with The Entrepreneur TV Series, members of their immediate family, including any live-in partner, are excluded from entering for the TV Series.

6 Application will only be accepted and be eligible to be put forward for selection and judging if they meet the criteria as set out in these Terms and Conditions. Applicants agree to make further information available in accordance with the Producer’s request and due diligence requirements.

The Producer’s reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all applications. By entering The Entrepreneur TV Series, applicants warrant that all information submitted by them is true, current and complete. Applicants warrant that the information submitted by them will not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or any other rights of any third party, and will not contain anything which is libelous, defamatory, obscene, indecent, harassing or threatening.

7 The Producer reserves the right to disqualify any applicant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the applicants has breached any of the Terms and Conditions or provided false information in its application. In the event that any applicant is disqualified from The Entrepreneur TV Series, the Producer may withdraw any award or prize from that business; publicize that withdrawal and the Producer in its sole discretion whether a replacement applicant should be selected. In this event, any further applicant will be selected on the same criteria as the original applicant and will be subjected to these Terms and Conditions.

8 You must keep a copy of your pay in slip for the sum of N2,000.00 paid into The Entrepreneur Season 2 account as a proof of payment.

C. Availability
All applicants must be prepared to make themselves available, if requested, to meet the Producer’s representative to discuss their application, to attend (at the applicant’s own cost) the audition, the Finals and subsequent events relating to program

D. Selection Procedure

1 For each Region, a shortlist will be chosen using the Producer’s procedures and policies, shortlisted applicants will be notified by the Producer by email and SMS. If applicants have not been contacted by the Producer by the end of the auditions, the applicants can assume that its application has not been successful.

2 All shortlisted applicants will be given an opportunity to discuss thier application and the proposed business ideas at the audition.

3 Selection for audition is subject to the Producer’s criteria as set and processes.

4 The shortlisted will be published on the Website and a list of winners will be published on the website.

5 Entry into The Entrepreneur TV Series does not grant rights to use The Entrepreneur TV Series name, logo or any images from a relating to The Entrepreneur TV Series events without the express written approval of the Producer. All rights reserved.

6 The Producer reserves the right to cancel, amend or withdraw The Entrepreneur TV Series or Terms and Conditions at any time and will endeavour to give advance notice of any such change or withdrawal. However, in some cases, advance notice may not be possible.

7 Under no circumstances will the Producer or its parent, subsidiaries and affiliated companies be liable for any losses, damages, cost, expenses, arising from or in any way connected with The Entrepreneur TV Series (including any discontinuance of The Entrepreneur TV Series) or relating to the applicant’s business, product or service. Applicants acknowledge that in entering The Entrepreneur TV Series, they have not relied on any representation, warranty or undertaking. Nothing shall exclude the Producer’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence or in relation to fraudulent misrepresentation.

8 The Entrepreneur TV Series and the Terms and Conditions will be governed by the Nigerian law and any dispute will be determined by the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.

E. Image Rights

1 Candidates registered on the programme will relinquish all rights to their images or relating to the programme and can be used for promotional activities by Producers, Partners and Sponsors.

F. Prize
1 Candidates who do not make it to final will not be awarded and are not entitled to any grant.

2 Candidates who are awarded grants on the programme will receive the grants as Cheques payable to them or their business and must be paid into a bank recommended by the Producers.

3 Candidates who are awarded grants on the programme will receive such sums for the same purpose for which it was granted as in any case otherwise that will nullify such awards

4 Candidates who are awarded grants will be paid either in full or installment depending on the recommendation of the Producers.

5 Candidates must ensure and are liable to make sure that the awards received are used in total to execute projects relating to the business that grants are awarded for.
