The Entrepreneur Season 2 extends deadline for registration
Due to the large turnout of prospective candidates encountered in its Abuja and Enugu auditions, acclaimed Ecobank-sponsored reality TV series, The Entrepreneur Season 2 has extended the deadline for registration..
Speaking at the Enugu audition recently, the Executive Director of IMPC, producers of the reality TV, Goke Dokun said the extension, which came in response to a clamour by prospective candidates who sought auditions, had been extended from the previous 23rd November, to 3rd December, 2009. He pointed out that even if candidates missed the Eastern zone audition, they could still register and be auditioned in the next zone (Lagos).
Sponsored by leading pan-African bank, Ecobank Nigeria Plc., and Vitamalt Plc., and partnered by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources, Growing Businesses Foundation (an NGO), and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN), the main objective of The Entrepreneur, is to empower small business owners, promote entrepreneurship through investments in innovative social enterprises, educate people on the numerous strategies of pitching business ideas, and contribute to poverty alleviation in the society.
The TV series, last year, injected over N12million into the businesses of the 23 micro-entrepreneur winners in the first season, but has increased the stakes to N15million this year, as promised by Dokun.
Interested participants who wish to harness this opportunity and become successful entrepreneurs can still do so by picking up their forms at any Ecobank branch nationwide, or downloading the forms online at www.theentrepreneurtv.com, which they are to bring to the venue, along with their bank tellers, as evidence of payment.
The zonal auditions for registered participants continue in Enugu, at the Villa Toscana-1, Aguleri Street, Independence Layout then Lagos between the 30th November, to the 4th of December 2009 to select over 60 people with the brightest ideas who will face the panel of Judges in the Finals in Lagos.
